Assistant Director of Alumni Relations

Luther College

Luther College is seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Alumni Relations who will assist the Executive Director with projects, programs, and the daily operations of the Alumni Office, including Homecoming, reunions, on- and off-campus alumni gatherings, and affinity groups. The Assistant Director also works to engage alumni, parents, and friends in the life of the college with consistent and positive communications through social media. This position serves as the liaison between the Admissions Office and the Career Center in support of student recruitment and alumni/student mentoring and networking initiatives. Travel will be required several times a year to manage and host off-campus events. Bachelor’s degree required; degree from a liberal arts college desired. Related work experience in a professional office setting at a nonprofit, higher education, or related organization is preferred. Candidates will need to be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive, and have the ability to organize, anticipate, and manage workflow efficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude for learning new systems quickly and open to adapting to new programs and trends in an emerging and changing environment is also necessary.
