Luther College, located in beautiful Decorah, Iowa, is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Admissions Counselor and Inclusive Recruitment Coordinator. The Admissions Counselor/Inclusive Recruitment Coordinator actively works to enroll diverse students at Luther College via in-person and virtual synchronous and asynchronous recruitment interaction. This position is responsible for meeting yearly application, acceptance, and deposit goals, as well as assisting the Director of Admissions Vice President for Enrollment Management in enhancing Luther’s efforts to enroll more students from historically and marginalized backgrounds. Primary responsibilities include directly managing an assigned recruitment territory, conducting frequent fall and spring overnight recruitment travel, presenting admissions and financial aid sessions, assisting with equity, diversity, and inclusion guidance for enrollment management staff, assisting with implementation of recruitment strategies for enrolling a more diverse student body, and nurturing relationships with alumni from diverse backgrounds, Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends for scheduled group events and rotating Saturday office coverage. A bachelor’s degree is required and applicants must have a valid driver’s license. Prior experience in sales, marketing, communication, counseling, or education and prior undergraduate work experience at a private liberal arts college and fluency in Spanish is preferred.
