New Hampton Repair is a privately held regional construction company with trade longevity and professional integrity. Position Overview: We have an Immediate Opening for a full-time Construction Services Tech to work in a crew setting installing/servicing propane and ammonia systems. Requirements: Technical aptitude with hand tools and implements, mechanical ability and welding experience preferred. CDL preferred (ability to gain during employment allowable) Ability to work extended hours and capable of accommodating some overnight travel as we build systems throughout the Midwest. Overnight accommodations and associated travel expenses/meals are employer paid provisions. High school diploma or equivalent GED is required along with ability to pass an Iowa DOT physical. Essential Duties/Functions: Under direct supervision, this individual will primarily help to construct the various piping and components necessary to the function of bullet tanks at farmers coops and large farm set-ups. The nature of the work necessitates physical dexterity and ability to lift (upwards of 50 lbs.), driving assorted implements (trenchers, excavators, tele-lifts, skid steers etc., and working in all types of weather. Individuals will perform machinery set up and take down; run cables/hoses, set up blocks and tarp loads and shovel aggregate etc. Employees are expected to maintain vehicles, machinery/equipment as well as worksite upkeep We encourage those interested in working outdoors in a dynamic ever-changing work environment to apply. Benefits: Benefits are available after a 90-day probationary period. We offer a generous starting wage based upon experience. Eligible employees receive 2-week vacation pay within the first year as well as a yearly company bonus. In addition, employees are paid 6 holidays/year, are able to participate in employee elective benefits (AFLAC) and will receive a health stipend ($250.00/month) to go towards insurance coverage. Employees are paid weekly via direct deposit and are guaranteed work wages of a 40-hour week.
