Payroll Specialist

Luther College is seeking a full-time Payroll Specialist. Payroll Specialist is responsible for timely and accurate preparation and production of all campus payrolls and associated reporting. In addition, specialist will supervise and work with Student Employment Coordinator and conduct research regarding regulations set forth by entities such as the Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to learn and utilize Colleague database software, Glacier nonresident alien tax software, Microsoft Excel, and Business Objects reporting software. Relevant job experience and accounting skills are necessary with proven ability to keep up-to-date on IRS payroll regulations pertaining to both US residents and nonresidents for tax purposes. A Bachelor’s degree is desirable, but not required.
