Information Security Analyst and Systems Administrator

Luther College is currently accepting applications for a full-time Information Security Analyst and Systems Administrator. The Information Security Analyst and Systems Administrator will: 1) lead the work of identifying IT related security risks, and the prioritization and coordination of risk resolution (50%); and 2) support operating systems and network infrastructure needs, services, backups, and maintenance procedures (50%). More specifically this involves - developing and maintaining information technology risk, security and privacy policies; monitoring/analyzing security logs and user permission settings; installing and maintaining server operating systems, server systems, and applications running on some of these systems; patching server operating systems and applications to ensure continued secure and reliable operation; ensuring that regular backups of servers occur to guard against data loss; and participating in the on-call rotation on nights and weekends to ensure that the network and server systems maintain 24/7 availability. Bachelor's or Associate's Degree is required with preference for IT related field along with experience installing and maintaining Windows and Linux server operating systems. Desirable experience includes working knowledge of Active Directory, Azure ADFS, Windows Group Policy, and enterprise backup systems. Additional preference is given to those with Information Security knowledge and experience.
