Staff Collaborative Pianist

Luther College invites applications for a position in collaborative piano in the Department of Music. This is a .75 FTE regular staff position that works full-time hours for nine months each year (September-May), with duties beginning September 1, 2020. This position will provide piano accompaniment for studio seminars, rehearsals, choral ensembles, opera workshops, music scholarship auditions, degree recitals, applied music juries, vocal and instrumental lessons and concerto competition auditions. Bachelorís degree is required as well as a demonstrated record of success as a collaborative pianist with substantial and significant vocal and instrumental repertoire. Also required is excellent sight-reading skills and the ability to learn new repertoire quickly. MM in piano or collaborative piano and familiarity with German, French, and Italian language/diction preferred.
