Luther College Admissions seeks a full-time Coordinator of Diversity Recruitment or Assistant Director of Admissions. The successful candidate will work with area programs serving under represented students and support diversity; as well as assist in the recruitment and retention efforts for Luther College. Duties include developing relationships with school counselors; provide services at the Admissions Office and collateral services at the Center for Intercultural Engagement and Student Success; support for admissions counselors and their interactions with students of color; recruit current Luther students of color as Admissions Ambassadors; build attendance at summer science and business seminars; work with Alumni/Development to build networks among persons in positions of influence in strategic locations; and recruit students from specific geographic region(s). Must be willing to travel extensively and make public presentations. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and a positive driving record that will enable them to be insured through the college. B.A. or B.S. required with academic preparation in any discipline. One year of relevant post graduate experience recommended. Experience in sales, marketing, communication, and education is highly desirable. Spanish speakers are strongly encouraged to apply. Successful candidate must be enthusiastic, goal-oriented, assertive, self-motivated, team-oriented and capable of representing Luther adequately and appropriately to prospective students and parents.
