Luther College is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Director of Facilities. This position will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness inside campus buildings and overall supervision of staff necessary to carry out the responsibilities assigned to the custodial and grounds departments. The Assistant Director will assist in budgets preparation and act as a backup to the Director in their absence. Responsibilities include; manage college rental properties, make recommendations to correct safety hazards and administration of safety programs. In addition, the Assistant Director will oversee facilities partnerships with Summer Conferences, Residence Life, Athletics, Campus Programming and Admissions. Qualified candidates must have a combination of education and management experience equal to a minimum of 8 years of experience in staff management. A baccalaureate degree is strongly preferred. Must have demonstrated successful experience in leadership and proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse constituencies. Other required skills include; analytical and reasoning skills for evaluation of processes, making judgments, and to make strategic recommendations; Interest and acumen for environmental sustainability and passion for the mission of a residential liberal arts college of the church, high level of computer skills, 24 hour on-call availability, as well as a valid driverís license.
